The studio work coat / light greige
Collection #08
'The Wild Romantic Within'
The studio work coat
light greige
This work coat with large gusseted pockets features a contrasting corduroy collar and a waist belt.
The large pockets, convenient for work or travel, have two openings: one at the top and one on the side. This allows you to store more items in the pockets. Wearing the collar up gives a more classical impression.
The cotton-linen typewriter fabric is hand-dyed in small batches, one vat at a time, and then sun-dried, resulting in a natural, wrinkled texture.
The decorative change buttons are ceramic buttons made in collaboration with artist TESORO, who works in Okayama.
Material: 90% Cotton, 10% Linen
Length: 82 cm
Width: 57 cm
Sleeve length (from center back): 81.5 cm
※While it can be machine-washed at home, we recommend dry cleaning if you are concerned about maintaining its shape.
※When washing, please remove the ceramic buttons from the collar.
※This product uses the back side of natural shell buttons. Each button has a unique appearance. Due to the nature of the material, the surface layer of the shell may peel off, but this is not a defect. Please be aware of this.

~From the designer~
I designed this with the desire to create a work coat (jacket) for AS YET UNNAMED.
I added large-capacity pockets to make it easy to use for studio work, travel, and fieldwork.
The cotton-linen typewriter fabric is incredibly light and has a wonderful texture.
It's a piece you'll want to quickly throw on and head out in.
The form, with its carefully considered collar and sleeve design, is characterized by an impression that is not overly casual.
The sizing is such that it can be worn by men, making it suitable for both genders, and wearing it cinched at the waist is also recommended.
When I received many ceramic buttons from MOE of TESORO, I was filled with a sense of endearment, as if I had collected treasures.
The light greige cotton-linen is adorned with ceramic buttons that resemble stones.
Since they are change buttons, they can be removed for care.
This is a coat that I hope will be "raised" by the person who wears it.
