#09 'poetry us living'
Wouldn't everyday life be richer if we could interpret it poetically?
With that thought in mind, we designed our Fall/Winter 2026 collection to resonate with such feelings.
It's a collection that combines the style themes of relaxation, sophistication, and primitiveness with a touch of playful design.
This season, we have created two types of original fabrics.
This was a collaboration with Watanabe Textile, who have an atelier factory in Fujiyoshida.
Watanabe Textile is a family-run factory that has traditionally produced cupra linings. With cupra threads, made from recycled cotton, set in the warp of the loom, various natural materials are richly woven into the weft with great sensibility.
Feeling a story beyond just fabric in Ryuko's woven textiles, this collaboration came to fruition.
The yarns chosen for the weft this season are mohair, alpaca, and wool spun yarns.
The warm animal hair yarns and thin, delicate cupra threads create a supple texture.
Original Print Textile: Rust Landscape
When conceiving an original pattern for AS YET UNNAMED., we aimed to create a design where the pattern repeat is as indiscernible as possible, something akin to an artwork, a natural phenomenon, or a spontaneously appearing phenomenon.
After numerous drawing iterations, a large design spanning the full width of the fabric emerged.
The rusted walls I saw during my travels served as inspiration.
The landscape of rust, as if alive, changes over time, making one wonder how long it has been that color. Memories of walls, memories of nature, memories of journeys, and my own memories intertwined, leading to this expression.
In addition to the original textiles, we are challenging pleating processes this time. We are working with a factory that can pleat natural materials, a process usually only possible with polyester. The two types of wrinkles, created by hand rather than machine, conform organically to the body.
We hope that when you look at and wear our clothes, your everyday world will become a little more special.
